Nainital is often compared with the Dal Lake of Srinagar as both Lakes are set amidst lofty mountains offering enchanting views. But Nainital is much more facilitated and advanced than Dal Lake in Srinagar. Nainital is surrounded by some seven magnificent mountains, of which the highest is Naina/china Peak (2,615mts) on the north, Deopatha (2,438mts) on the west, Ayarpatha (2,275mts) on the south, Handi Bandi (2,139mts), Alma (2,270mts), Laria Kanta (2,481mts), and Sher-ka-Danda (2,217mts).
